Check out the link on the left called "40th Reunion Pics!" They're starting to come in slowly. Let me know where others can see your pics ie your profile or a link.

Never mind - just a small adjustment and all is well.

What an incredible day. I have to say that a lot goes through one's mind when preparing to attend one of these events. Will it be awkward seeing people you haven't seen for 38 years? Will I be able to stay the whole day and keep myself (and Randy) amused? Well I'm happy to say that nothing could have been farther from the reality of the situation. I never stopped laughing! Meeting up with old friends that, I swear, are the same as they were then. It is like we picked up from the day we last saw each other! I was reminded of so many things that were long forgotten in the dusty corridors of what I like to call my brain! There were familiar faces and memories. There were surprises like who married your ex boyfriend, who "changed teams",what crazy person became a highschool principal, what Randy and I were most remembered for, and finding out that Larry really DID'NT do the art teacher!(sorry Larry I couldn't resist) There was sadness at learning of the heartbreaks of those of us that have lost loved ones and finding out that a favorite teacher has passed and I will never have the opportunity to tell Mr. Hoellering how very much he influenced my life for the better. There was inspiration in the story of those that have gone through some really tough times and come out of it happy and strong. I really am looking forward to the next reunion and I am so very thankful for the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and as I found out, true friends.(Kat) I really didn't realize until Saturday what a lasting effect some of my friends from school had on the person I have become. Finally I'd like to thank all the volunteers, young and older who put so much effort into the planning and execution of this wonderful day. It was clear how much work and thought went into this day and I thank you all.

I can only echo Kathy's words, thank you for putting is so succintly. It was an experience that still has me smiling! This site has also allowed me to reconnect with some old friends that couldn't attend this year. I am enjoying all the pics people are putting on the site, hope there are lots more. Thanks to all that were involved! Special hugs for the friends I reconnected with. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! How's your tennis game Diane? xox

Does anyone know what happened to Mrs. Ray, the guidance counsellor who worked at GFSS in 1999?

Glen Forest (1981)

Ms Ray is off on a leave. As far as I know, she will be back in the school in Sept.

Paul Barber (1974)

Picked up my 1970's year book CD today, took it to Staples in Alliston. They copied it onto a fine quality paper, in colour, so I got the gold covers and put it into a spirial binding and it looks pretty darn good for only $35.00.
So now if I just could get some signatures it would be perfect.

Glen Forest (1981)

Glad you're enjoying the book Paul! Also glad to have you post that I wasn't exaggerating on the cost. If you had to add the "hand feeding" cost to that book it would have been closer to $50. By having them scanned first, we have already paid the cost of having someone stand at a machine and flip the pages in the book over and over. Now they only charge you the $0.10 or so a page to copy them and a bit extra for the binding. Bring the book to the 50th and get it signed! Better yet, don't wait 10 years. Have a class reunion before that. Let me know the time and the place and I'll send out the invitations through this website on your behalf. You don't even have to invite me. :)

Paul Barber (1974)

Ok Barb I'll bring to the 50th and hope you'll be there and sign it for me.

As far as a reunion before the 2019 date, I'm game but not the person to drive it, but will be glad to help.

Does anybody have the e-mail address for Louie Bartolomucci? I came across an old photo that he would be interested in.

After years of collecting photographs I am finally getting around to sorting through them. I have posted some under my profile and will post more later. First off are some pictures of Mr. MaCleary's Geography field trip to New York City in 1972.

I apologize for the quality and that they are in black & white. If anyone out there has some old pictures please scan them and post them before we are too old to remember who is in the picture.

I see my buddy Ray Tibando in the Football team photo and I think Mr. Read, will look harder to see if any faces ring a bell.

Thanks for posting them Dave!

David Scott (1972)

Paul I know that I have more kicking around somewhere. I was just e-mail chatting with Ray Tibando and we were looking at names as well. Some I can recall as if it was yesterday (#88 is Terry Graham) and of course Mr McCleary, Mr Reid & Mr Reider, Dan Bruce Dan Loreti etc. Others I look at and just draw a blank. Have to find my yearbook in the black hole that is called a crawl space in my house.

And once again I have unearthed some more pictures from the early days of Glenforest & the Public schools that we would have gone to. Here are two more, 1) The old Annex 2) Forest Glen Public. Have a look because you are either in them or know someone who is. They are posted on my profile.

Does anyone out there know how to contact Sue Hayward or Jay Bouskill?

11/20/09 11:24 AM #57

David Scott (1972)

For those that are in any of the photos that I have posted I'm not sure what quality you get when you try to download them. If you want better quality just e-mail me at ddscott@sympatico.ca and give me your e-mail address and I will e-mail them to you in either JPEG or BMP formt.

And please if you can help identify some of the people it would be appreciated. Also I encourage all of you that have old pics to dig them out and post them before we all need the Hubble Telescope to be able to view them.

Keep posting those pictures Dave they are just a hoot!

David Scott (1972)

Well here I go again having cleaned up some clutter in the laundry room where I found a photo album. They are pretty much sports related but everyone from the early days should know somebody in them.

I have sent out a number of e-mails to individuals that I do know how to contact but there are still many that I either can't reach or I can't recall their names. Old age will do that so I am told.

If you would like a scan from the original B & W picture just e-mail me at ddscott@sympatico.ca

They have brought back a lot of memories of good times for me and I hope they will do the same for you.

Thanks for the kind wishes. I find it very exciting that I'm still adding people to this site every week. You folks are obviously doing a great job of continuing to spread the word. The school will be packed with alumni by the time we get to the 50th reunion!
