Dan was an inspiring mentor who thought deeply about education and he was instrumental in introducing new teaching methods and learning materials. He was lead co-author (with Glenforest history teachers Angus Scully and Carl Smith) of Canada Today, a text book used in schools coast to coast. It’s 4th edition is still being used today (2018). Dan was a dedicated member of the OSSTF, and was chief negotiator for District 10. Dan was an original staff member and retired from Glenforest after 24 years.
